Talking of monsters, one of the things that really impressed me with “Alkylation” was the sheer number of new enemies you encounter throughout the game. Location: All over the walls and floor of E2M8. Every sound has been lovingly restored and enhanced to maximise realism and play value. Four rooms with 3 Spider Masterminds, 1 Cyberdemon, and 1 Revenant. I do not have any real story behind designing this wad. Treat your earholes to the beauty that is the Hi-Def Remade Doom Sound Replacement WAD. Description : This is an absolute wild 'micro' Doom II level. wad: There are three words for the changes in this version: detailing. Yes, it isn’t exactly a “ slaughtermap” episode, but it’s still great to see this style of gameplay occasionally. MONSTER (monster.wad) A huge, fairly straight foreward level that is is my first attempt at designing a new wad. It is unlocked in The Fortress of Doom after obtaining all six Empyrean Keys. Whilst the first two episodes are enjoyably challenging, the gameplay in the final episode is probably the most fun – for the simple reason that there are a few “arena”-style areas that are filled with large numbers of monsters that you can only really get through if you think tactically. As you would expect from a final episode, it’s also slightly more difficult than the previous two episodes.
